1. Introduction
Hisaab ("the App") is a finance-tracking app for business partners who pool money on construction and real-estate projects. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.
By using Hisaab you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Hisaab collects only the information you provide or create in the app:
- Email address and password — used to create your account and sign you in
- Project data — project details, partner names, share percentages, transactions, amounts, notes, and settlement records you enter
- Receipt images and documents — invoice photos or PDF files you choose to attach to a transaction
- Push notification token — if you enable notifications, so we can alert you when a partner records a new transaction
- Basic technical data — such as device type and app version, needed to run and improve the App
We do not collect your location, contacts, health data, or any financial account information.
3. How Your Data Is Stored
Your data is stored securely in the cloud using Supabase, which provides authentication, database, and file storage. Attached receipt images and documents are kept in secure cloud storage so they can be viewed by you and the partners you share a project with.
All data transmission uses encrypted HTTPS connections.
4. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used only to provide the core features of the App:
- Authenticating your login and keeping your account secure
- Recording transactions and calculating fair shares, balances, and settlements
- Syncing your data across your devices and, in real time, with your project partners
- Sending push notifications you have enabled
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the App.
5. Sharing With Other Users
Hisaab is built for partnerships. When you add a partner to a project, that project's transactions, balances, and attached receipts become visible to that partner. As the project owner, you control who is added and whether each person can only view the data or also add entries.
Only invite people you intend to share that project's finances with.
6. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and secure file storage
- Expo (React Native) — app framework and push notification delivery
These providers process your data only to provide these services to Hisaab.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual records at any time within the App.
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing rafirapi008@gmail.com. We will delete it within a reasonable period unless we are required to keep it by law.
8. Children's Privacy
Hisaab is a business tool intended for adults managing project finances and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Security
Access to the App is protected by email and password authentication. Data access is further protected by row-level security rules, so users can only reach the projects they own or have been given access to. All data transmission uses encrypted HTTPS connections.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
